lately i asked this question:
if god is almighty, can he create a great rock that he can not lift ?

most replies didn't answer my question maybe because the question wasn't clear . so i'll re-ask the question in another way:
Can God create another God who is more powerful than him/her ?

I would think with some ingenuity and the will he could. Just like us humans we have created weapons that far exceed our power...nuclear weapons for one, children that kill for shoes, and parents that beat thier children. We as a society have created these monsters and there is nothing we can do to fix it...

I've wondered this question too, and I'm not sure of the answer either. I think that he has the power to do anything, so I'm not sure he could make a god more powerful than himself, because it's impossible. It doesn't exist. God is all powerful. There is nothing more powerful than God. But at the same time, if he can do anything, that would include making a god more powerful than himself wouldn't it?
I think this is one of those questions you have to wait to ask God when you get to heaven. He does not reveal it to us in his Word and as humans our thinking is too limited to understand this. We only know earth, and what is possible here, to us. So this question could never be answered with our mindset and our brain's capacity on earth.
Sorry I couldn't give you a great answer! But I just don't believe that there is one. Not until we ask our Creator face to face!

When we accept God -as the supreme creator- creation of another super God cannot happen. Whatever is created - the rocks, plants, animal and human life -are not superior to the creator. It is not like a son becoming more intelligent or mightier than the father. Man has created things mightier than him but it cannot be so in the case of God since he is believed to be the ultimate creator.Probably your doubt started with this kind of analogy.

For the sake of clarity, define your concept of god. If your concept of god is limited, then the abilities will be limitted.

If you arknowinge referring to The God, the Almighty,All Knowing, All Aware, First and Last, The One, The Knower of All Things, The Masterof All Things, All Seeing, All Hearing, ... , then The God would not do anything inconsistent with the majesty The God.

No. God is the King of all Kings. No need to create another god. He is the beginning and the end. The Alpha and Omega. He is the omnipotent God. He created the universe, how come He will create a more powerful god. As you have said God is Almighty. Please try to read the Bible for your reference.

God can, but He won't.

Because He is Almighty and His power is infinite, He can create anything, even another God more powerful than Him. But He will never do that because He won't want to and there is no need, as even God said, "there can be no gods other than Me".

The problem is both questions follow the same pattern. The 'if God is almighty...' question is what we call a logical falacy. What that means is, your 'question' isn't a real question but rather a condratictory statement. There is a negative statement on both sides makes the statement invalid, much the same as if I said "all cucumbers are green, lettuce is green, therefore, lettuce is a cucumber."
Quite simply, this isn't a real question.

This has kinda already happened... Lucifer had many talents and powers and he tired to become more powerful than God and God threw him down into the depths of the earth into Hell. God is the almight and He will always be. Why would anyone want more than what God already is. God is PERFECT! nothing can compare to what God!!!

Please read my words carefully:
If you see footmark in the sand, you'll say that someone passed from here...
If you see a piece of dog sh*t on the ground, you'll say that a dog passed from here...
So what about the enormous universe, the sky, stars, planets, earth and all the beauty in it, doesn't it lead to that someone made it?!!!

Some people say that everything is created by itself after the big-bang... I won't ask you about what caused the big-bang, but I'll ask you a simple question:
If you take all the letters of the alphabet, multiples of them, and you threw them randomly on the floor. Do you expect (by a chance of one in infinity) to get a poem like shakespear's??!!

Can't you see how organized our universe is, the planets, the eco-system on earth, look even in your own body... Can you control your heart-beat? Can you control your breath while you're sleeping? Who stopped your eye-lashes from growing after reaching a certain length? Who told the baby turtles to move towards the sea and not to the earth after they come out of their eggs? Who taught the bird how to make nests?

My friend, think with your heart and brain. If you're still lost, think about the following:

Do you know how to play safe?
Non-believer's case:
If there's no God and you do all what you want in life, then nothing will happen to you after life. But if there was God and you were mistaken, then you'll blame yourself FOREVER...

Believer's case:
If there's God and I followed His commands in life, then I'll be in Heaven after life FOREVER. But if there was no God and we're mistaken, then nothing bad will happen to us after life...

Now you know how to play-safe, in case you're not convinced?

No. how can you create something greater if you have admitted you are of a lesser kind. You cannot give what you don't have. He created His Son, Jesus Christ which is according to His image and likeness, Jesus could be as great as His Father but not greater.
