I'd say the Orange Bowl has amazing history but their stadium really needs some maintenance

I may be biased being an LSU fan, but I've been to stadiums all over the south, and nothing beats Tiger Stadium on a Saturday night for atmosphere.
As for tailgating, the food is the best and the people are the friendliest. It's not uncommon to see Tiger fans offering free food and beer to fans donning the opposing teams colors.
In the history category, LSU doesn't have the history of the older schools. I would love to see the "dotting of the i" at Ohio State.

Accept no substitutes. Tiger Stadium is the best football atmosphere and tail gating venue in all of college football.

US Navy / Marine Corps Memorial Stadium to watch Navy play Air Force. Army/Navy would be even better but it is a neutral site and I've never been there.
Tailgating is tremendous, Real men who know what life and playing football for the love of the game is all about, rabid fans and thousands of uniformed Midshipmen marching across Annapolis to the stadium and fervently supporting their team along with thousands of distinguished graduates.

The Florida-Gerogia game has been dubbed the "World's Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party". The tailgating and after party are both pretty intense. As far as the game, well the Florida/Georgia game is up there as one of the biggest rivalries in college football. I'm not sure why, but it is.
I like the feel of Florida games though. I haven't been to many other stadiums, but there is a lot of tradition to be noticed at Florida games (Mr. 2 bits, the "We are the Boys of Old Florida" song, and also the fact that the Swamp is the loudest stadium in college football, making it a death pit for visitors. Upon their first visits to the Swamp, both of my brothers (previously avid Florida State fans), decided Florida was the right place for them. Cars and trailers are parked all over campus for pre-game festivities. It's nutso.

Tiger Stadium aka Death Valley, Baton Rouge LA.
Hands down the best tail gating and atmosphere in college football. We are currently writing our history so come on down and be a part of the hottest thing going in NCAA football.

The Orange Bowl (tear) that is a place that has the history, the feel and great tailgating. Most everyone is sad it is the last year there. I am not even a football fan, although I've been to games around just to go, the Hurricane spirit in that place is amazing.

It would be the big house if you want to have a conversation with the person you came to the game with because you can not believe how quiet 105,000 people can be..... Oregon great stadium for the home team because they have their own refs and monitor and censor replays but not the crazy or loud....Great atmosphere try Nebraska, Texas A&M both laces get very loud.... worst Colorado nothing like a bunch of drunks with a chip on their shoulder.... and Texas where they show up late, dress for a ballroom dance, yell only at their kids and leave early and treat all the fans of the visiting team like dirt..... And the best one of all Tiger Stadium at LSU but only if you are dentist and take medicare because you can spend a life time there just getting the yellow out...

My main business is dealing in student loans. My dealings have the perk of getting tickets from many schools and let me tell you, ive taken advantage of going when i am able. Many places have an excellent atmosphere. After being to nearly twelve different D1 games and stadiums, tops would have to be Camp Randall in Wisconsin. Happy Valley is up there as well but it doesnt top Wisky. Honorable mention goes to ole Rocky top.
PS its Autzen for the Ducks, havent been there but am hoping to.

Wherever your favorite team plays home games. I love Manhattan's Bill Snyder Family Stadium, because the K State Wildcats call it home. It is NO WAY the biggest, or the loudest, or the rowdiest. BUT it is where my kids and I spend half of our Saturdays each Fall, cheering and stomping and yes sometimes frowning. But we love our Wildcats and we love spending time together as a family. We tailgate in the ag lot, not the stadium lot because my boys are 9 & 12. They LOVE the drunk girls dancing on top of busses, but I don't. I admit , I'm a little jealous, but I want them watching the ball not the cheerleaders! Just my opinion, as a middle age mom and football LOVER !!!
