Best CPU for a Windows 2000 Application?

Can someone please advise the best (fastest) current Intel CPU to maximise the performance of a native Win2k application - running in Win2k?

The difference between the fastest current machine and 'slowest'; will be about 1%.

Forget it, just go for what you can afford.

any that you can buy in a shop will own windows 2k and any application :) all are dual core now so windows 2000 will run easily on any new system
