How much did it cost to get in to see Bambi then? What year was it? That is sooo cool!!
But you're right Bambi was a sad one!!
Lion King was the first cartoon movie that made me cry!!!
I'm wanting to say my first theatre movie was Snow White.
Magical!
Is it me, or did your Avatar pic just change... you looked more like me a second ago!! LOL

Well, I think I saw movies before this one, but the first one I remember seeing in the theatre was the 1979 re-release of Star Wars. I was 5 years old, and my aunt took me. We sat in the 2nd row at the theatre. Darth Vader scared the crap out of me. But I did watch the whole thing. My parents werent thrilled with my aunt for having taken me at such a young age, but hey, Im glad she did, Im one of the few people my age that can remember seeing the classic in the theatre :)

The first time I went to the movies was the drive-in. We saw "Song of the South" and "Bambi".
The first time I got to go to an indoor theater with a friend and no parents we saw "Distant Drums" with Gary Cooper.

No, I have been taken to movies since I was born. I recall some when I was a baby, but I am uncertain which I saw first. I was born 7/20/68, so figure which movies debuted about that time.

Star Wars, Episode IV A New Hope. I lived in the Philippians at the time and I was about 3 and a half. I have only the faintest hint of recollection, but that was the first one...

Yes I do, it was the summer of 1977 - my mother took my sister and I into Manhattan and we saw the 1st Star Wars on a movie theater on W.45th Street between Broadway & 8th Avenue.
Boy has Times Square changed since then.

I am from India and I still remember the first Movie I saw with my elder brothers. The huge size of theater did not permit me to see the movie at all. It is a great experience. Yours VRVRAO
