Is your boss a sports fan? There are a couple of stores that sell authentic team sports wear, like baseball caps ... jerseys, etc. If you know his favorite team you can pick something out. Or, how about a nice bottle of local wine? Believe it or not, there are some wineries in upstate new york with local labels on the bottles. You could pick him up a nice bottle or two of wine.

a bottle of wine or champagne, you can never go wrong there unless you boss is a ex-alcoholic
