Well I immediately thought this cannot be true. I looked at your web link and I am still not sure that I can believe what I have read. George Bush seems to pass from one gaff to another without a pause. How did this man ever become the President of the worlds most powerful nation let alone be elected for a second term. The world will hopefully become a safer place when he has to stand down from office.

"I heard somebody say, the place's Mandela?' nicely, Mandela's ineffective by using fact Saddam Hussein killed each and all the Mandelas," Bush, who has a recognition for verbal pretend pas, mentioned in a press convention in Washington on Thursday. those are the words President Bush mentioned. It became into no gaff. It became right into a assertion that Hussein had killed all people who opposed him politically. The gaff is on the component of the media.

I read it, and I heard it. Is going on my list of cringe worthy moments. This is such a major mess in so many facets...did he confuse the Kurds with Mandinkas? Sorry wrong continent, or did he think Mandela was a tribe in the Middle East. Or the Mandela family was killed?
This wasn't a faux pas, this was stupid ignorance.
Like when he didn't know the capital of countries.
I can honestly say, even living through the likes of Nixon and Clinton, I have never been more consistently ashamed of my president.

I think it was great statement and it is absolutely true. The Iraq people are having trouble finding true leaders for their government because anyone who showed any opposition to Saddam was murdered.
What do you think is so embarrassing about the statement?

Wow, as much of a moron as Bush is, this was taken out of context. he was saying there is no Mandela-esque type individual to lead the Iraqis.

We liberals know that the President is smarter than we are so we take things he says out of context and try to make him appear like he doesn't make any sense.
We are on drugs so we are impaired and disabled so we liberals can do anything we want and get away with it. We have excuses and that's all we need.

Bush is an embarrassment to this great nation, the moment he gets of his ranch. Can't we just keep him under house arrest until Jan, 2009.

Greetings. I enjoy our presidents speeches. why? well I assume that you have heard that prostitutes support pimps because then they feel that they have someone to look down on that is lower then themselves. Bush serves that same purpose. we can all look down on him and force our children to listen to his speeches and tell them. Mess with drugs and that could be you with a mind that messed up. Gives us a national symbol that we can all feel superior to and proud.

Bush is an embarrassment, but it's fun watching him speak his particular brand of gibberish.
