There are activity books by companies like Klutz and American Girl that might be just up their alley--and they are usually under $20. There are also art kits by companies like Creativity For Kids: Make your own charm bracelets, decorate your own lamp, etc.

Could be kinda 'out of style' (they were bigger a few years ago) but maybe those Nomination bracelets. The ones with square charms you interlock. Claire's sells them for a pretty good price. Oh they're also known as Italian Charm Bracelets. You could get them each a charm with their initials and stuff they like. Twin "S" could get a book charm and her initial, Twin "J" could get a smiley face and her initial, then maybe get them each gift cards or money period so they can collect more. I still have my nomination bracelet. i love it lol

Get one of those indoor/outdoor small child sized slides (made of plastic) with a ladder and holes for footing to climb... If they already have one- try a build a bear gift card (one for each). You could get him a remote control helicopter (at Walmart) and her a cool doll- ya know just in case they aren't into the same things.

I have lots of nieces and nephews, one of my favorite things to get them it like tents and sleeping bags. I always wanted a tent when I was a kid and have bought them for my own kids and for a few of my nieces and nephews and they absolutely love them. As far as I know none of them have ever camped out in them but they pitch them in the yard and play in them during the day, the sleeping bags always find use. When my kids cousins sleep over I have them bring their sleeping bags and camp out in the living room. You can buy a 2 man tent for less than $20, and the sleeping bags run about $20 a piece. I have 2 daughter 8 and 9 and they use their sleeping bags to camp out in the living room on weekends. Another thing that I like to do especially for the girls in the family is go to the cheap jewelry stores in the mall and buy them little bracelets and an assortment of costume jewelry. One of my daughters is 9 and her prize possession is her diary. Now that she is older and writing comes more easily to her, she will write her thoughts and feelings. Another thing I like to buy for the kids is different sports equipment, you know try to keep them out of the house and off of the games and computers. Like badminton sets, or baseball stuff. But here in the south we can use those things year round. Good luck, and have fun.

Some jewelry stores have young girl sets, necklace, ring, bracelet, for not too much $$$. They're usually petite, and can be something special as they start to come of age. Birth stones seem to go over best.

Wish pearls. You could give both the same pendant or maybe give one the dove pendant and one the cage pendant. http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?sofocus=so&sbrftog=1&from=R10&_trksid=m37&satitle=wish+pearls&sacat=-1%26catref%3DC6&floc=1&sargn=-1%26saslc%3D1&sadis=200&fpos=ZIP%2FPostal&sabfmts=1&saobfmts=insif&ftrt=1&ftrv=1&saprclo=&saprchi=&fsop=1%26fsoo%3D1&coaction=compare&copagenum=1&coentrypage=search&fgtp=
