Oh, I think this is horrible....so false and insincere...one pretends to set the butterfly free but actually has built a trap that is not easily discernible...but a trap none the less...and maybe he gets a lot of public acclaim for having released the butterfly
perhaps we need to monitor ourselves to be sure we do not do such things....although I imagine that many who engage in this sort of behavior do it purposefully and and knowingly.

Flutter it is not nice to trap anything period :))))Always set things free and just let them be even the butterflies too :)))
You can build glass walls for yourself if so this is what you choose but you have no right to trap anyone in them if they need to fly and be free hehehe my little doggie will stay with me because she loves me hehehe have a great weekend :)))

I don't catch butterflies, they are fun to watch.
I saw a swarm of dragonflies a few times this summer, once was out by my peach trees when I was mowing. They were so pretty and they just buzzed all over the place.
I would probably have a tendancy to put up a glass wall to keep my children closer. It is so hard to let them go when they grow up.

You said set free, you can't set something free if you build glass walls to put them in.

You shouldnt.
The only gift this sprite can give to you is the delicate act of alighting on your shoulder or the tips of your fingers.
The walls will not make it come back, it is the nature of the butterfly to touch you only once. There will be no joy in watching its endless tries to be free of its glass prison.

No, I dont cheat on myself.
It may take me some time to accept I have to free the butterfly. But once I do, I let it go, knowing that it may be sometimes the hardest desition of my life and that I may suffer the rest of my life for it.
But I believe the truest/ultimate proof of love is letting the butterfly extend its wings and fly for free in search of its happiness. Even if it means that such happiness is not by your side.

all of us comprehend with regard to the Pearly Gates, yet for some reason the Pearly Watchtowers are continually surpassed over, besides by using fact the guarding Seraphs with flaming crossbows. One you bypass the gates, you're in for eternity, chum.

no....to trap something I set free would have no meaning to have ever raised and set it free in the first place
the glass walls would just be added tourment to have me and them see something that could never...

compulsion has stained me
i'm nervously cradling our young love
without known limits love
like a butterfly cupped in my hands
i peek in to see beauty trapped
confined it flutters
then it leaves behind colorful dust
to remind me of the special times we've spent
but of course it has to leave my clutch
but enough's never enough to make a dent
