We have a wedding to deal with tonight/tomorrow two hours from home. Sunday will either be a one year old's birthday party or a baby shower. Sunday evening it's a bible study class. I'll be pooped before sundown! Do any of you have most wonderful plans?

I'm having trouble with my pic. I tried to change it, got the Red X and now I can't even get the other picture back up.

My 9 yr. old son is coming to visit & we are going go-carting, hiking, to the race track (cars), & laugh till we drop.
This kid is my main reason for still being here.
Enjoy your weekend & be safe.
Get your advatar fixed too.

Yes - actually (for a change!) I really am doing something quite exciting (in real life!) - I am going to punt on the Cam!

Explanation to non-UK'ers : The Cam is a river quite local to us and near Cambridge University and to punt (V) is to 'push' a flat bottomed boat along the river with the aid of a 15ft long pole!

It is not so much the punting that is the draw to this odd sounding activity - more the dressing up in our last of the summer frocks and drinking lovely cocktaily type drinks and eating delicate amusee bouche on the riverbank afterwards!

It is all very English but not so very bad for that!

Myself and He Who Is Usually In The Recovery Position will be driving there tonight and staying in a pretty plush hotel - so - for me it is farewell to Hetti MKII, Heather M. McCartegg and all the others for a weakend with REAL HUMAN BEINGS!

May I just say that your weekend sounds delightful - especially the Bible Study Class - something I would love to get into but there isn't such a thing around my neck of the woods. Perhaps I should start one - but would that mean I would have to stop telling little white fibs?!

Enjoy yourself Lady G and come back with the tales a refreshed and as-always entertaining aristocrat!

Saturday: I have to meet with members of my Honors Biology class and go to the local lakes to set humane traps for mud puppies, in cooperation with our local Corps of Engineers office
Sunday: 10 am Church
1 pm back to the lake to help check the traps; to document our catch, if any

I would rather sleep in on Saturday!

Bowling tournament. My fingers are already tender because I've not bowled all summer and leagues restarted last week. Have to rebuild those calluses. (ouch!) Seven games Saturday and, if I'm lucky (rather, if I'm any good), anywhere from five to eight on Sunday.

Then home to my kitties and computer.

No. I'm going to strip down my computer. Transfer files across our homegroup, and start again. Church and nothing special,

Drive carefully.
