God made the fields these warriors play on. The rest is up to the humans to maintain.

This is not a sports question but more of a question of belief. If you believe in God then of course he has something to do with sports. He may not decide the outcome or give an advantage but he is present. If you don't believe in God then this is a mute point.

I'm a huge sports fan. but I've always thought that God probably had more important things to do on Saturday or Sunday than watch football.

Usually their pre-game prayers are to ask that no one gets hurt and that they preform their best. Why wouldn't God hear/respond favorably to those prayers?
I salute anyone that is willing to recognize God in front of 80,000 fans when he thanks God for his abilities after a great play.
Oh, and Deke, you had better hope you're right and not me!

god has a part in all of the events in our lives. its up to us to accept him or not. in a game you pray for everyone to play to the best of their potential and for no injuries. Obviously not everyone does play great and their are injuries, but thats life. God doesnt intend us to be perfect, just try to the best of our abilitites, and hes happy with that. through that builds our faith, respect, and need/want to become a better person.

He wouldn't influence games that would be cheating. He's a fan and his number one team is the Green Bay Packers.
