I'm not as familiar as I'd like with the Gundam models, but I've been building model aircraft, armor, and trains for 35+ years:

Putty (Tamiya, Testors, etc.) should really ONLY be used to fill seams and correct "ejector-pin-marks".

IF you want to "add some few meters for the wings", the best way is usually to cut each wing (in exactly the same place of course), take some styrene square-rod, place it inside the wing, using it to extend the wings to the new length you desire. Then you can take think sheet styrene plastic and conform it to the shape of the existing wing. THEN it's LOTS of gentle sanding and a touch of putty to blend it in.

You can cover panel lines in three ways:
1) just sand them away (not as good)
2) fill with putty and sand smooth (better)
3) take filaments of stretched sprue, "weld" it over the panel line with plastic cement (careful), and then sand it smooth.

The BEST thing you can do is hit your model / hobby shop and buy one of the many fine books on "Scratchbuilding".

Good Luck !!
