Hi, I’m a Mac. And I’m a PC.

Hey PC, what are you doing tonight?

Well, I’m having the latest version of Microsoft Office installed, a fancy new printer hooked up and I’m going to play a whole bunch of games. How about you, Mac?

Erm... well I cost nearly twice as much as you, so now my owner can’t afford any of that stuff sooooo.... I’m just going to browse the net and check email.

PC's are so much better. Besides, Steve Jobs looks wierder than Bill Gates.

For gaming, and sheer number of programs as well as pricing I would say PC. I am a PC lover, but have to say that the few games on mac, mostly shoot them up ones run wonderfully, and they are GREAT for photo and video editing. PC video editing and photo editing can be a pain at times.

So the real answer to this is what would you do most, video / photo editing / playing VERY few games, or suffering through all the pitfalls of windows yet having nearly every software title able to be used?

Depends what you want to do with it. Now they're both basically the same nuts and bolts (the Mac has a bit more), there's not a lot to choose. The MacOS is a bit more robust than Windows, but not as robust as Linux. Windows is good for number crunching type jobs. MacOS is better for video editing.

Most people buy a machine that is about 10 times more powerful than anything they need.

In general it's 'what are you going to use it for' office stuff including most recreational activities then PC every time. More programmes available and at better prices also the cost of buying PC is much cheaper. Macs are great for imaging and professional design.

Hi I'm a Mac. Hi, I'm a PC.

Hey PC (piece of crap), how come I cost twice as much as you?

Well Mac, you use a far superior OS that M$ tried to copy, you are more reliable, come installed with loads of great software and why has my screen gone blue?

Thanks PC, do you know why Windows is so called?

No I do not Mac, why?

Mac picks up PC and throws him out of one, that's why!

You failed to mention that software for a Mac is a lot more expensive than for a PC. Mac has better stability, but experienced PC users can more than deal with those problems.

If you know what you're doing, they both do whatever you want.
If you are new to computing, the Mac is much easier to learn.
The Mac is likely to crash less.
The Mac is a much more elegant, enjoyable desktop environment - it looks more attractive and, for many PC users, provides a refreshing experience.

Simple answer, a PC with linux.

Windows is a monopoly forcing people into a system they didn't real choose, all with the sole purpose of increasing Microsofts power in the business world.

Mac is for people who place more importance on what the thing looks like than what it can do.

Go on, pick up a penguin!
