Overpaid....yes, i think so....£150,000 a week!...thats proper taking the urine!...Premiership players train for approx 10-14 a week, then a match at the weekend & earning what most people would take a few years to earn, let alone save, in a week!.
Overated......No, I don't think so. I used to play in the Army, but am paying for it now with knackered joints. It's a very skilled game. I was crap, but enjoyed playing the game. Premiership players are extremely talented, but should play the game....for the love of the game, especially if they get chosen to play for their country, which should be considered an honour...not a bonus pay cheque!.
Rugby players should be paid better in my opinion.
Real men?.....In my opinion, a real man is one who supports his family, spends time with his children, never hits a woman & gives his lady multiples & can drink 10 pints of Stella on a Saturday night & make it home without mouthin' off & starting a fight & keep the kebab down!.

The only footballers overrated & overpaid are the cheats. No matter what the price tag on them is if you have players like Drogba, Ronaldo, Berbatoff going to ground every time they are touched it gives the game a bad name and thats where footballers are ultimatly branded Poooofs.

As for rugby players if they were getting the same kind of money as the footballers would they not start cheating to and if they do will they be branded overrated, overpaid Poooofs.

Only time will tell.

I do think that rugby players are a tough lot and deserve to be well paid, the only reason football players get so much (and the amounts of money are obscene) is because football is so popular and the game generates so much money through TV and sponsors. It`s down to supply and demand at the end of the day. If as many people went to see indoor bowls and watched it on the TV in their multi millions, then they would be paid vast amounts of money.

patrick e is right. also football is a sport in which clubs get a very high income and theres no other place for money to go except players. And players carrer ends at 34 usually. Anyway football is just entertaining and i think they deserve it

disagree. Its also easy to say bad things about footballers but you wouldnt be able to handle the training, pressure and injuries. Also remember the premier league has 500 players and the population is 60 million. Do you see how talented you must be to earn that much?

disagree
when rugby is the biggest sport in the world then maybe they can expect alot of money football requires more skill rather than brute strength, also grabbing a man and rolling aroung on the floor with him seems alot more gay

biased rugby fan are we?

Don't quite like a sport that requires me to put on that much weight to succeed. Life's a balance remember.

Over rated: Some of them.
Overpaid: Debatable.
Gay: Irrelevant.

The same can be said for the current England rugby team.
