With the next day being the 4th of July? I thought that Thursday would be like a friday....but with the holiday the next day?

Yes, very odd. Most people won't have that day off, first of all. Any weekday wedding is a bit annoying in my opinion. My cousin is getting married on a Friday in October. I live 4 hours away so I will have to take a vacation day to attend her wedding. I love her, but that sucks. Secondly, your getting married right around one of the biggest holiday weekends of the year. Many people will have vacations planned around that time. My advice would be to pick another day, a Saturday preferably.

Not all people get the 4th off of work, most do,but not all, you may want to keep that in mind when planning a wedding during the week. If you are getting married Thursday, the 3rd, you may wish to marry in the evening, because most people will have to work the 3rd. Congratulations!

no but a lot of people take vacations...I always get irritated when I have to go to a wedding on or the day before/after a holiday

no, it seems like people are getting married whenever they wish. so do what pleases you and don't worry what others think it is you special day
