Delay/Difference in Menstruation:
A delayed or missed menstruation is the most common pregnancy symptom leading a woman to test for pregnancy. When you become pregnant, your next period should be missed. Many women can bleed while they are pregnant, but typically the bleeding will be shorter or lighter than a normal period.
Other Explanations: Excessive weight gain/loss, fatigue, hormonal problems, tension, stress, ceasing to take the birth control pill, or breast-feeding.

Well, one of the first questions would obviously be have you had sex? If so, when was it? Did you use protection? How long have you had your period?
A lot of times it can take up to a year or longer for a girl to regulate on her period, and yes stress can make you skip your period.
Second, typically (you'll have to change the numbers around if you are different) a girl is on a 28 day cycle. A cycle starts the first day of your period. (so this would be last months) count 12-16 days after that depending on how long your period usually lasts and this is about the time that you ovulate or when you can get pregnant. Now it's possible to have sex outside of these day ranges and still get pregnant because a male's sperm can last more than 12 hours inside of you. Anyways, determine if you had sex around this time period. If so, read the next paragraph.
There are various signs of pregnancy, you feel more fatigued than usual, you have tender swollen breasts or you feel nauseated and achy in the morning. <- This is morning sickness which doesn't always happen in the morning. Throughout all of these symptoms you may feel as though you are still going to get your period, this is because early signs of pregnancy often mimic PMS.
Hope some of this helps, if all else fails take a pregnancy test. If this is not possible for you, wait it out until next month. Then start thinking more seriously if you don't get your period then.

Well, now that you mentioned pregnancy, you must have done it in the past month or weeks. Buy a OTC pregnancy test kit, its fast and easy to use. then again there a lot of factors that causes menstrual period to be delayed such as hormonal imbalance which can be caused by stress. I don't think you should worry too much about this. its not that serious, unless you are pregnant? thats a different story :)

You should get a pregnancy test, and if it's positive, get an ultrasound to figure out how far along you are (it sounds like about 5 weeks to me, if you're pregnant.) A pregnancy center can do both for free, or you can buy a test over-the-counter. Either way, it's confidential.
If it comes out negative, you need to set up an appointment with a regular gyno (not a pregnancy specialist) to figure out what's going on with your period. While there, you should probably discuss contraception.

Get a test to be on the safe side. It could be stress but you never know. No contraception is 100% fail safe (assuming you have used contraception). So get a test now, don't delay. The earlier you know, the easier it will be whatever the results. If you're not pregnant then I would suggest seeing a doctor in case there is anything else wrong.

It is true that stress can delay your period but I would take a pregnancy test just to be sure. Otherwise you are going to stress and it could be all for nothing.

If you are more than a week late, definitely take a pregnancy test. Why worry and drag it out longer. Just take a test. Then you will have your answer. If it's negative, and your period still doesn't start, call your dr to check to make sure everything is okay.

Stress can delay your period. But if you are sexually active then pregnancy is also a risk. I would give it a week and then take a pregnancy test.
