YES! Honda trains their dealerships to rip people off, similar with all the "others".
They only love money. People are like cattle, just "things" to them.
They are the scum in the bottom of the barrel, along with lawyers & such...

Lease? Finance a car twice pay extra interest and not so hidden charges. Each Dealership is a privately owned business so not all are the same. Four terms really get the car sharks in a feeding frenzy "down payment" "Special finance" "Smart BUY Lease" and "Your Upside Down" Sounds like sour grapes in your case. So how does some one of your intelligence enter into a contract sign papers with out reading and understanding what your obligations are.

NO that happens most of the time after they get to the dealership. It could be the manager that shows his people he doesn't care how cars are sold "I don't care how they sell just sell", some times it's the salesmen and ladies on the floor that don't care, but if a customer complains "they know how to cover it up".
Bottom Line Is; If something like this happens go the the "Company On-Line" for their address and/or feedback E-mail if they have a place. if they get many complaints on any Dealership they WILL investigate! To the Company things like this mean Big Money.

LOL YOU GOT SPANKED FOR BEING A CHEAP PINHEAD!
First of all "ALWAYS READ ANYTHING YOU SIGN"
It is your fault for paying what you did not the dealerships recording and slamming the dealer on the net will get you what you got "nothing".
I suggest you enjoy your new Honda and get over it.
Remember read anything you sign because once you leave you own it.
