We need to go on a 9 game winning streak. The Tigers can still make the wild card (via stealing it from boston); what do you think will happen?

The way the Sox are hurting these days, nothing would surprise me.

OK Georgie, as of this morning, the Sox still lead the division. So the Tigers wouldnt be stealing it from them yet. If it comes down to it, I sure hope the Sox can win at least 3 out of their last 9 games. If they can't, then the Tigers will deserve the Wild Card. I still havent given up on the Red Sox and I just hope they can hold on to a playoff berth.

My guess is no...but if the Red Sox can't win at least 3 of their last 9 games they don't deserve to be in the playoffs....I still think the Sox will take the division by sweeping the the Rays and then taking care of business at home. Tigers fans should root for the Blue Jays right now because the Tigers are closer to the Yanks than they are to the Sox.

As of today 9/21/07:

Boston 90 - 63 = 153
Yankees 88 - 64 = 152
Tigers 83 - 70 = 153

Any combination of 3 Boston wins or 3 Tiger loses knocks you out. It's possible but not likely. Personally I'd love to see it happen!!

In baseball - like life -anything is possible. But not probable. Georgie - it looks like it is over. They gave it a good run last weekend, but NY did not cooperate and lose. I am sorry man.
On a side note - I fully expect Cleveland to win the AL. I hope so anyway. This year has taught me that Yankee fans have 100 times more class than Boston fans (go to a game at US Cellular - Yankee fans were fun - Boston fans were idiots). I can't believe I would say this - but If not the Indians - go Yankees.

It's not impossible. . .It's also very possible they won't be stealing it away from Boston. . . These last games count! Boston could win the division still, and they also could lose enough games that it won't even be an issue of "stealing" anything away! It IS a long shot, but I wouldn't be surprised at all really.

I'm a RedSox fan... and right now the Sox can't find a win... and were about to play Tampa Bay.. one of the worst teams but for some reason they normally beat us... I'm gonna say the tigers most likely won't.. but it is September and that is never good for the sox... i still think the sox may win the pennant.. so take it from the Yankees

If you guys win out the season and the Red Sox lose out the season, then yes. I hope it happens too, because my Indians have been playing pretty good against the Tigers this year and it would be nice if we played them in the playoffs.

Im liking the Indians picture buddy.

wait, did I miss something? Aren't the Red Sox still 1 1/2 games ahead of the yankees? Now we are talking about them losing the wild card? Lets not get too ahead of ourselves

Georgie, Georgie.Grasping at straws are we??

I love you sweetie, but unless Boston starts playing some horrible ball, The Tigers will not have a chance at the WC.But sadly it is September, and anything can happen.

Like the fact that the Yankees are only down a game and a half, never thought I would see this day, so as I said anything can happen, but I doubt it.

Anything is possible, but I doubt it. Yankees win the Division and Sox take the wild card.
