Employers taking out life insurance policies on their employees in the event of their deaths, most likely due to unsafe working conditions, so that they can collect a nice sum of money.

Isn't this disgusting to anyone else?

What happened to middle America standing up for themselves????????

That is your perception of their reasons.
Employers invest their company assets in the garnering of expertise to their employees, and the future success of the business is contingent upon the expert contributions their employee will make.
The death of such and employee, and the loss of such an investment could be devastating.

Sounds like a BS story to me. I agree that companies often insure high value employees in which they have made a major financial investment but this "unsafe working conditions" spin is nonsense. Can you imagine what an insurance company would charge for a premium? It would be cost prohibitive and remove any benefit of insuring them.

This sounds like someone has been taking an element of truth and twisting it to put business in a bad light. There are many, many protections for employees. If a company is deliberately putting them in unnecessary peril, they need to report it to the authorities.

Hi Alex g, I am also disgusted. How can this be condoned by ethical business practices? Have you also noticed that the
Christian community is having their rights to free speech taken away. Even in the army, Chaplains are not allowed to preach about Jesus. Our boys and girls are in danger of losing their lives every day and yet chaplains are not allowed to tell them how to be saved for eternity. The world is getting worse and our only hope is in the Lord and the ACLU with the government's help is trying to take even that away from us.
Thanks for letting me vent. Beaware

Why do you want us to be outraged? Stress is bad for us. Do you want to see us with hypertension and sleep disorders? Huh, do you?
