I always use Nero Burning ROM. It's simple. just open the NeroSmart Start and then go to the back up category and select burn image to disc.

There are literaly hundreds of propritary Formats that are created by different softwares.
The best thing for you to do is do a search for your particular file type you wish to change and then download it.
Not all software's have the ability to open or even burn these files that were created by other than True Video Software, like Video TS.
Some of the Mpeg files will open but not all.
