I don't think they should be as extortionate as they are. An example, my sister is a larger lady and a few years ago brought a dress from Evans for a party it cost her £48+ my friend also brought the exact same dress from dotty P's (I think) for £22.00. My friend a size 12/14 - my sister (won't tell you) but believe me there was no way double material had been used so why the expense. The reason is places like Evans can charge what they damn well like as limited choice although marks, debenhams and other shops are now doing "bigger sizes" - they are all made in the same sweat shop enviroment so why should they charge more? I doubt that they pay the hard workers (or kids) any more for a bigger size do you?

If you look at it from the manufacturer's point of view then yes, because he needs to use a lot more material for every garment.
On the other hand this would be quite unfair for the customer who needs the bigger clothes. Being a bigger person does not mean having more money.
Besides, everyone should be able to buy themselves the same garment (disregarding the size) for the same amount of money, shouldn't they?

No they should not, little tiny skinny ones don't cost any less than "average" size ones do....however, they should not make the bigger size clothes so ugly, most as a rule seem to have the most hideous patterns on them...dont' know what that is..

No I do not but they are, its totally unfair, some people have health problems that make them overweight yet their penalised by having to pay extra for clothes, if George at Asda and the large clothes selection at Tesco can make their clothes in any size for the same price then why can't all shops do the same.

No, cloths are mostly over priced as it is, a friend of mine works in the jeans industry, she says it costs around £10 to make a pair and they sell each pair for £85. Its a complete rip off and i am thinking about taking classes to learn to make my own x x

It depends on how much bigger they are .If it's a lot bigger then yes I think they should charge more for the extra material they use.

in terms of children's to adults then definitely yes

I think it would be unfair to change it NOW in terms of all adult sizes, but more material is used so there is an argument for it.

I think it's a good idea in some ways - as it will help me not go for the double chocolate muffin ;-) but also it could make people ill - trying to be really slim if they really can't afford more money on clothes

and the nike shoes go up in price when you go up in size which is ridiculous!. there rippin you off in the first place and the frikin things are only made of plastic!, id understand if they were made of leather or frikin crocodile skin or something!!!
