Im just wondering how many mothers have experienced this ??

Question

I am as of now 7 days late for my period, im not stressed or anything ( actually pretty relaxed, I am on break from school) And am just wondering...

If any mothers were 7 days late and took a HPT and it was still Negative, But you were actually pregnant when you went to the doctors??

Im going Monday.. just wondering in the meantime. Also My nipples have been very sore & tender since the monday before last...

Im not currently on ANY medications, and I have always been a very healthy eater.. no junk food or fast food, mostly fruits & veggies

it is very likely that you are pregnant... i have experienced this also and yes i was very pregnant!!! i didnt have enough hormones in my urine to be detected using a HPT so when i went to my ob/gyn i had a blood draw and guess what...positive, so its very likely that you may be pregnant,,,good luck and congrats if you are!!!!

I tested negative everyday until I was 8 days late and then I finally got a positive test. But unfortuntatly I miscarried 3 days later. I just got lucky and found a super sensative test that was able to pick up the declining/low amount of HCG in my system. Every other time I've been pregnant the tests have showed positive before my period was even due.

You very well could be pregnant. Not every woman will get an accurate result near their period because a) your ovulation could have been delayed and therefore you're not as close to your period as you think you are supposed to be, and b) the hormone levels rise at different rates for different women. A lot of women on here have said that they didn't test positive until they were a few months along. Good luck.


p.s., as for the "cheap" pregnancy tests not being very good... Walmart's store brand test is one of the most sensitive on the market. I used it before my period was due and got a positive.

During my first pregnancy I was a week late and a HPT was negative but the doctors result was positive. This is because the hormone in urine is low and increases over time when you are pregnant. Cheap pregnancy tests only detect higher levels of hormones so you can get a false negative. so buy a good quality one and do the test first thing in the morning, this is when the levels are at their highest,because you have not been to the toilet during the night. I have 3 children now and I have known every time before a test confirmed it because of breast tenderness. its one of the standard signs to look for. good luck with everything.

With this pregnancy, it took me 2 1/2 weeks after my missed period to get my positive. I just tested about once a week til I got my period or the positive

I doubt you are pregnant, but stranger things have happened, lol. You may be more stressed than you think. Or more physical activity than your normal can put your cycle out of whack. Hormone problems are a big contributor, but if you are fit and healthy it is unlikely, but if you go to a Doctor you can ask for a hormonal test. If still no period in a week do another test or go to the Doctors. Good luck.

i say wait until you are 10 days late and take a test..if it's either positive or negative then you have to go and see a doctor and do a blood test..
a blood test is more accurate and at this time it can tell you if you ar pregnant or not..
if you are in a hurry go do the blood test now

I didn't test positive until I was 6 1/2 weeks pregnant with my 1st and 7 weeks with this one.. AND that was with blood test also

by a wek late I usualy will test positive if I am pregnant. There are other hormone imbalances that can stop your period, so its for the best that you are seeing the dr!

If you're 7 days late and your nipples have gotten sore and tender, then I would suspect you might be pregnant.
