i took the pregnancy test today in the morning 2 weeks after the day my husband and i ..
its written on the instructions that if there were 2 lines then the results would b postive if one line appeared then the results are negative l..
i forgot to recap the test .. and 2 lines appeared one of them is like purple and the other one is dark purple !!
what does that mean ?
i didn't get my period because its 2 days late !! i was expecting to get it on Wed

like purple or dark purple does not make a difference it means a positive result if you read in after the two minutes it said to read it (or however many minutes it says) and two lines appeared, sometimes one line is lighter than the other and this is an indicator of the amount of the pregnancy hormone the test has detected, often a faint line appears in early pregnancy. good luck get it confirmed with a blood test by your GP

The cap doesn't matter, the cap is more about hygiene, than protecting the test. The test strips inside only react to HCG anyway, but any liquid other that urine can ruin the test before it is used. I really think you are pregnant if there are two lines, but if you are unsure buy a clear blue digital and it will actually have the words Pregnant or Not Pregnant written on it for you.
