Iraq and Afghanistan are extremely expensive wars for America. The reason is that the US is trying to rebuild what was destroyed in the course of invasion and occupation as well as the thing destroyed by internal violence and insurgency. What make this so expensive is that when they build something it's often destroyed again whether by the coalitions in both countries or the insurgency. Increased defense spending, tax cuts and the increased oil prices which was a side effect of the Iraq invasion are also major factors.

He can't.
Because he didn't.
The national debt has increased 53% since Bush was elected, not 100%.
The national debt increased 39% under the previous president.

Because no one has tried to stop him.. a Republican controlled congress for most of that time just gave him ca rte blanche to go at it...and he is a spoiled brat who is used to getting everything he wants and doesn't care what the results are.
This country will be suffering for decades after he is gone.. he has harmed us like no other president ever has.

He will not admit when he is wrong. He will show everyone that he was right, if it take every future social security dollar, every American soldier, every last bit of American pride, to prove he was right.
As Bush once stated, concerning Social Security, "All of you born before 1950 are safe." The rest are SOL.

And he will continue to do so, as long as his coffers continue to grow, he'll just leave it to the next president to clean up the mess.
