It depends on what you want to do with your life. If you want to do nothing but sit around and let everyone else support you, why bother with school? If you want to have a nice house, family and job you had better get all the education you can. School is like many other things in life, you don't appreciate them until they are past.

It used to be that during the 50's and 60's, you could work and support yourself with a high school diploma. Nowadays, you can't get anywhere without a college education. Unless you are planning on flipping burgers forever. If you want a high paying job with great benefits, then going to school is very much worth it. But, don't do it because you think that is what people expect of you. If you are planning on continuing your education beyond high school, make sure you really want to go, because you won't get anything out of it if you don't really want to be there.
