It starts in the GM's office, goes all the way through the coaching staff and ends with the players that have not done their job. I do not think that you can blame Reyes, Beltran (numbers are down but still a ridiculous season) and a few of the starting pitchers but you have to blame someone for relying on unknown talent and guys with "potential" rather than signing some of the proven talent in the free agent market. Right now even if they make the playoffs it is a disappointment all around.

There is not always a need to place blame when an event occurs differently than what you would like to see. When it is all over this year there will only be one winner out of thirty teams, and there is no reason to find fault with the twenty nine other teams that come up short. If you are not good enough to win you have to go back to the drawing board and come up with a better players and/or a better plan for next year. It is the uncertainty of the game that makes baseball so great.

Omar Minaya only wants to get the Hispanic players. If the team was more diverse you'd might have better team chemistry, like the Phillies have.

1) the players
It starts & ends right there....they're the ones who play and aren't producing...too much talent here for this to be happening.

most definitely the fans... it's most certainly not the players or the coaches fault that they're going into a tail spin.
