Someone mentioned fairness. The Jena mess is a long way from fair. When six people gang up and assault and kick one person, it's far from fair. Too bad the "six" never heard of a peaceful demonstration or protest, which would have been much more effective in getting their message across. Why did these six not walk over, cut the nooses down, and have a seat under the tree they claimed they were not allowed to sit under? Why didn't they report the act to the school authorities? Why did they take the law into their own hands and commit a violent act?

The action of the Jena 6 should not be condoned, it is not acceptable for several students to beat up a student for a racial slur. It is not acceptable to attack someone because they called you a name. It is not acceptable to knock someone down, and then start kicking them, especially if they are unconscious.
The white student who got beat up did not hang the nooses, for some reason this information isn't being reported, he supposedly made a racial slur to the black student, who is a football star, at lunch. Then later in the day, another black student hit the white kid from behind, knocking him out, and then supposedly, the other five black students began kicking the white student as he lay on the ground.
First of all, you can easily stomp someone to death, with tennis shoes or bare feet.
Just because someone makes a racial slur, does not give anyone a right to beat that person up. You don't hit someone unprovoked, and then continue to assault them after they have fallen down. If this is what happened then these students should be prosecuted for a crime, a serious crime, because they could have killed the kid.
As far as hanging the noose is concerned, what punishment does one get for gang related tags? What punishment do kids get for wearing gangster clothing, and listening to music that many consider to be racist?
When rap groups began using racial slurs, and a rap group became popular with the name NWA, still popular today, the whole racial slur protest became pure hypocrisy.

this does not sound like the entire tale. Getting beat up does not equate to an tried homicide can charge. merely how undesirable grew to become into this beating?? by utilising the way, the place is the sympathy and help for the sufferer of the thrashing? Did slightly learn. . . The "Jena 6" attack happened on Dec. 4, 2006, on the highschool's lunchroom. A white pupil and a black pupil have been interior the orginal altercation. The white pupil grew to become into hit from in the back of, knocked out, then set upon by utilising different black pupils who proceeded to kick and stomp him as he lay subconscious on the floor. The sufferer, Justin Barker, spent approximately 3 hours in an emergency rooom being taken care of for injuries to his head and face. Mychal Bell, the only between the six to be tried so some distance, grew to become into convicted in June 2007 on a discounted can charge of annoyed 2d degree Battery. He grew to become into tried as an person. He grew to become into scheduled to be sentenced on 20 September and confronted as much as 22 years in reformatory. Bell were convicted as a juvenile for attacking somebody a 12 months ahead of the Jena 6 attack, then dedicated 3 greater crimes collectively as on probation for that one, which meant the Jena 6 verdict marked his 5th conviction for violent crimes. On 14 September, 2007 an appeals court docket vacated the 2d-degree battery conviction of Bell, ruling that the expenditures ought to have been introduced in Juvenile court docket. No determination has yet been made approximately rerfiling the expenditures against Bell. So, Nahira, feels like Bell is probable going to flee together with his attack and that i doubt the different would be tried in any respect.

The reason no one is doing it is because it not politically correct to speak up for anyone white.
This is from a blog I wrote about this a couple days ago:
...The so called "Jena 6".
If you don't know about his case, you can find out all about through any search. This is an article about the planned protest for this week:
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070920/...s/school_fight
Now, the key sentence in the entire article is this:
"Months after declining to charge three white high school students who were briefly suspended for hanging nooses in a tree, local prosecutors charged five of the six with attempted second-degree murder in the beating of a white student. The sixth defendant's case is sealed because he is charged as a juvenile."
Charge the white students with what? Having bad taste? Being insensitive?
Now, please understand, I am in no way condoning what the white students did, and certainly think a suspension was warranted.
However, does that excuse the 6 black students from beating the crap out of the one white student weeks after the noose incident took place? And if the white students actions in hanging the noose from the tree were racist, weren't the black students actions just as racist?
People want to scream and moan about race relations in this country. But the "minorities" do not want equality, they want two sets of race relations rules. One set which will hold anyone not in their minority responsible for the smallest action, and a second set which will let them get away with anything while being able to hide behind the shield of "we have been oppressed".
How can simple hanging a piece of rope from a tree be put on the same plane as six people viciously attacking one person?

Come on, you know the real answer to that question. Why even ask it? What I don't get too is what is not fair about it? They are complaining that they are being prosecuted and it is not fair the white kids didn't. What thing about equality is missing here? The crimes are two totally different things. One, some kids hung some nooses in a tree to keep it for themselves. No different then a gang spray painting their letters or whatnot to claim a territory. The black students beat the crap out of someone. Why do they think those are equal crimes? This is america and people have the freedom to say and do as they feel, as long as it doesn't break any laws. I want them to show me the law that says you cannot decorate a tree for halloween with nooses, what is wrong with that? I don't want the bridge by my house painted with the "N" word 23 times, does that give me the right to jump people. Wow, what a subject to get people going on. Thanks for bringing it up. How much you want to bet we will get reported by people that think the black kids did nothing wrong, will be my third banned account. LOL

Because white people in America aren't labeled as a "victim group" by the media. If you're a victim to the liberal media, you have a blank check to take out vengeance on your so called oppressor, no matter how destructive your tactics are.
This stems from the fact that Liberals believe in emotionally powerful arguments and appeals beyond all other things, even basic human rights to life, which is threatened when 6 grown teenagers are kicking it out of you.
How many times have you seen an infraction in the NFL, only to see the victim retaliate as the referee finally turns his gaze, throwing a flag at the secondary offender? Any rational person knows that both were wrong, but you can't excuse the second because of the first. Sometimes you don't get justice, so you deal with it.
But in the rabbit hole world of Liberalism, the stronger emotional appeal is the winner. Many of them see themselves as victims and they vicariously seek out their vengeance by justifying and encouraging the vengeance of others.
To some degree, everyone has this feeling of identifying with the underdog. Humans have a long tradition of rooting for the little guy to overcome tremendous adversity. When in fair play, the victory of the underdog is inspiring and heartwarming. It is no wonder that David was more admired than the king after slaying the giant Goliath on the battlefield.
But the story of David doesn't end with the lesson that you can accomplish more than you ever thought. The king quickly became jealous of David and ordered his death. While in pursuit, the king was vulnerable to David, armed with a knife. Encouraged by his entourage to kill, David shows restraint sparing the king's life, and gains the respect of a nation.
The raw, immature emotion of Liberalism doesn't have the restraint or the intelligence of David. Liberalism is constantly seeking a new emotional high, like those addicted to 'falling in love." These 6 boys will be harmed in countless ways by those that justify their beating of a man that had fallen to the ground. Like the good father would give tough love to correct and grow his child, a media figure who truly loves these boys would tell them to face the consequences of their actions and grow into men.
No one is protesting the beating of 17 year-old Justin Barker because the government is handling that front, as it should. Those with emotional intelligence and discipline, show trust that there is justice in the legal system and even when justice is denied by the system, that good will be done. While the case of Jessica Lunsford is tragic in the isolated context of itself, the fallout from the lack of justice has brought justice. Whether she wanted to be or not, she was a martyr to the cause of justice and her case has changed law across this country to protect life.
With all this being said, the Prosecutor doesn't want to make himself a martyr for justice. The punishment should fit the crime. Sometimes the thugs are simply lucky or unlucky with the results of whether their blows cause death or not. For whatever reason, these kids are lucky that their victim didn't die from repeated kicks to the head while he was on the ground.
The media whores are out in defense of thugs, claiming the defense of justice, but above all in pursuit fame and $$.

Do you hold a protest every time a bunch of kids get in a fight? What is worse a black eye or 6 kids sent to PRISON. Especially when ehite students who attacked blacks in that same town were not brought up on charges. One of them broke a beer bottle over a kids head, if he was black, they would have called that assualt with a deady weapon, instead he was sent home to his parents.

I agree.
I think there are much better civil rights poster children than these kids.
I don't think they should be convicted of attempted murder, but I think that they do need to be held responsible for their actions.
Its gotten crazy in a hurry. And some people are just looking for a reason to say, "See!! We really are oppressed!!!"
