I think 6 people against 1 no matter what their skin color is, is just unfair. If you're gonna fight, fight fair. (not that I'm promoting violence)
I don't see why people make such a fuss about color of skin. It's retarded and to me it seems like people play the race card and it does nothing but take people back a few steps instead of helping them go forward.

Every violent crime is a hate crime, adding extra punishment to a crime just because of someone's skin color is (usually) more racist than the crime itself. People get attacked for having a big nose, freckles, or being too short and they don't call it racism, what's the difference between those variations and skin color, I just don't get it!

It's the Jena six and it happens all the time @ schools!! Nobody should have the next 20yrs of their life taken b/c of a school fight!! Its ridicious to me this happened!! This is definitly a race thing b/c if it would of been the other way aroung I really don't think it would of gotten this far!! So they changed fom 2nd degree murder to battery but they still shouldnt go to jail or anything!! They shouldn't be givin any thing other than school suspension!!:)

I see no difference. It should be a hate crime charge. Of course, so should the crap that the white kids were doing.

Of course it SHOULD be considered a hate crime. I have not watched anything about this so I can't give my opinion on this incident.. I do know it shouldn't matter if matter if your black or white...

right ! If it was 2 mexicans, 1 chinese ,and 1 black, and 2 whites, it wasn't a fair fight. The "noose" CLEARLY is a "hate" symbol. That's the kind of ignorance that's being bred into white trash.
