It's been a very sad and mysterious story. The poor little girl asking for her Mummy and not understanding where she is or where her Mummy is or where her Father went. I can't believe the NZ cops didn't even look inside the car for the first 48 hours and it had the mother's body inside it! The car was outside the cordoned off area and journalists and passerby were leaning against it - man, what a farce! I am glad though that little Pumpkin has a grandmother to care for her and that she knows her grandmother well. I hope they catch this loser soon, but thank God at least he didn't murder this little girl as well.

i don't know ... consider this .. there are parents out there that kill the children as well .. I think .. that because of the publicity this case has recieved since DAY ONE .. last Saturday when poor little Pumpkin was dumped at Southern Cross station ... .... and the publicity has intensified ( understandably) as the story has become more complex... crossing at least FOUR nations .....

Few other cases get this much attention ....

PLEASE DO NOT GET ME WRONG .. I have exactly the same feelings as yourself .. BUT I am sure that there would be other parents ( gotta be fair .. some mum's are evil too ) out there that deserve to be hated JUST as much as this low-life . .we just DON'T hear about them ...

poor kids :(

schlonky: wasn't me :) your view isn't one I would normally disagree with ... BUT my gut instinct ( not so much the media gossip) is what is making me lean this way...just a horrible gnawing feeling that something was more amiss than abandoning a child .. from the moment the story broke.
(perhaps that's worse than paying attention to media gossip ??)

All the yadda yadda yadda about death penalties takes on new meaning when we see, hear and experience these types of atrocities so close to home.

The man is a maggot, and should be strung up by his ears in a tank full of excrement until the lobes stretch so much that he drowns in it.

EDIT: Schlonky, you make some good points and you got a thumb going north from me, but the guy's batting average with the rest of his family ain't the best mate...

I don't know the full story and neither do you. So that's why we should suspend judgment and not damn people we do not know the full story about. Judgment will be made by the courts, not us. The media will make a beat up over this heart wrenching story and heaps of people will get caught up in it, feeling hatred and despising this complete stranger. But if I meet a person for the first time and they express a damning opinion about someone they do not know just because they read something in the paper (or heard some gossip) I would keep them at arms length. Some people just have a desire for hate in their soul and should best be avoided.

For all we know, and whatever he appears to have done, this man may have a serious mental illness. Or maybe he was the target of some criminals who killed his wife and he's on the run from them trying to get his daughter away from harm in his panic.

He ran a newspaper and may have dangerous enemies and he owed a lot of money. Who'd he owe the money to? What would we know? We don't know yet. By suspending judgment you have more integrity as a human being. Why be a person who brings more ignorant hate into the world?

When you think hatred towards someone they may be affected by it in spiritual ways we cannot comprehend - how do you know for sure that he deserves all of that before he's had a chance to tell his story? HOW DO YOU KNOW IF HE MURDERED THE MOTHER???? You don't. It's all speculation.

Edit - here we go, judgmental people are going to give me thumbs down... bring it on and wear it :) haha

Edit - the next person who gives me a thumbs down - it's going to do you more harm than me or this man that you don't know anything about who may have owed money to dangerous criminals for all we know. Domestic violence does not mean someone is a murderer. I don't know what happened and neither do you. Why damn me too for just encouraging you to keep your mind open?

It's an awful story, and all my sympathy goes to the child with none left over for a father who was violent to his wife before killing her and abandoned his child at a train station. Anything could have happened to the child. It's a dreadful story.

My first concept improve into to attempt and overlook it because of the fact the relatives unit will very almost easily fall apart and you very domicile existence would be under danger .... then i presumed that your dad has heavily permit everybody down around him ....... your mum, your self, your pal and maximum easily himself. He has in basic terms been performing like a toddler and thrown warning out of the window. sure, your mum needs to renowned i'm afraid to assert ...... she is the real sufferer right here and this is going to wreck her something rotten. even however, she is married to a guy residing an entire lie and you basically can not enable that. yet you may desire to be arranged to take the implications, as your dad easily might desire to have performed all alongside. sure, the marriage might perhaps be finished, yet he merits no longer the rest. adult adult males may be fickle and somethings may be forgiven ..... yet no longer this one, i think.

It is highly likely that we will be the most hated father. But I for one will be heaving a huge sigh of relief when they catch him, the guy has obviously become unhinged. He's supposed to be a martial arts "master", bloody bad publicity for martial arts I think.

He'll definately be in the top ten list of most hated fathers. He could've at least left her somewhere safe! In a train station, she could've been kidnapped or anything!

The older girl was on tv last night and he was not a good daddy to her, either.

Little Pumpkin is way better off with this guy a long way away from her!

Best wishes :-)
