How come putting a tampon in is easier after showering?

I tried and tried before, but tampons always felt uncomfortable to me, and now one day after a shower I tried again, and everything went smooth and easy.

So now that I know I CAN get them in, does this mean that at other times I'm just not trying hard enough?

Probably just due to the fact that you are relaxed after showering :) your most likely tensing up trying the other times

The reason that it's easier to put them in after coming out of the shower is because the muscles of the pelvic floor are more relaxed.

It can be harder at other times because the muscles are tightened and not relaxed when trying to insert it.
