honestly at 5'7 150 there is no point to kill yourself in the weightroom because no matter how strong you are your going to get knocked down when 185+ pound players hit you. just 10 lbs. of weight will really slow you down. ive played college football and i know small skill players that have no strength that are the best players on the team. at 5'7 150 im sure your very quick. you will be way faster than the 220 pound guys running around out there. your best bet would be try CB or WR. since you play basketball im sure your an athlete. i say wr. good luck man, dont try to make your body something it isnt. work on your speed and agility.

Go see the football coach at your school, the more players to choose from the better. The football team often works out in the off-season , they will help you get bigger and stronger. I can't tell your chances of making the team, there is only one way to find out. Do it ! You don''t want to get older and wonder " what if".

Get a comfortable backpack and put like 20lbs in it and wear it ALL the time.
Or weighted clothing. Chainmail in your coat. Rocks in your pockets. Fill your pants with ballbearings. (Maybe I'm being a little silly. But really the weighted clothes do have a history.)

Run in sand.

Bicycling up hill.

Eat lots of dead animals. (Its okay to cook them.)
