I've never understood why, when a prisoner is facing imminent execution, the media has to inform us as to the condemned's last meal request? What's that about? When did this nonsense start?

The prisoner's "last meal" is just another story to talk about
That is why we see so much B.S. on the news, they have nothing better to talk about.

The prison chef cares. He has a reputation to think about. I, personally, would have a huge platter of spaghetti for my last meal, and I would eat it one strand at a time.

sounds such as you have given me something new to be addicted to gaining knowledge of. rooster with cashew nuts (and water chestnuts and onions and peppers) Crab in purple chili sauce from this great place in Canada; or perhaps in basic terms a pool of the sauce and a bunch of crab meat (this is not extraordinarily sensible to entrust somebody approximately to be carried out with a crab cutter, is it?) a great creamy cheesecake with sparkling strawberries and guy-- you already know what? i'm full of crap. If this is my final meal, i might prefer between the Indian dishes my mom made me whilst i become a toddler. and likewise 3 pounds of pomogranate seeds.

I don't know why that matters to anyone but the one who's eating it. I hope I never have to decide on a last meal!

Giving us all that information is just one of the exaggerations of the media.
It would be more important to discuss the guilt or the possible innocence of the person, and also whether the death penalty should be banned or not.
