Because of the State hospital for the criminally insane near us, there is no fence or walls due to their personal rights being violated, there have been numerous escapes. I keep a 12 gage over and under shot gun with steel goose loads nearby and a .38 special in my drawer, along with this a resin baseball bat by my bed. I can and will use any of the three to protect my spouse or myself so, yes, I feel safe.
By the way, these people have injured more then several people escaping, there's 94 there, inside and the state won't do anything to keep them "locked" up.

Not really. I jump at every little noise, and I get really paranoid. Then I have to go investigate, and I usually find there's nothing there. So yes, I may be safe. But do I feel safe, not exactly ... lol.

It all depends on how old you are and where you live at. I used to live really close to the ghetto part of town and would hear gunshots every now and then throughout the night. But I had a loaded shotgun and a Siberian Huskey in the house. Needless to say I would feel really sorry for the stupid S.O.B. who broke in my house if you know what I mean.

Yes I have 4 dogs, 9 cats and a double barrel shotgun I pity the person who tries to come in here.

Yep we sleep with the door unlocked
i live in a very small town but on a suburb of that lol but yeh i feel safe

Yep, I have two great big dogs & one little dog...the Pug is the early warning system & the Black Lab & Great Dane are the security...seems to work quite well & I feel real safe with them by my side :-)
