Pansexuality (sometimes referred to as omnisexuality[1]) is a sexual orientation characterized by the potential for aesthetic attraction, romantic love and/or sexual desire for people regardless of their gender identity or biological sex. This includes potential attraction to people who do not fit into the gender binary of male/female implied by bisexual attraction. Pansexuality is sometimes described as the capacity to love a person romantically irrespective of gender. Some pansexuals also assert that gender and sex are meaningless to them.

A bisexual is someone who is attracted to both males and females. Pansexuals are "gender-blind", it doesn't really matter if their partner is male, female, mtf, ftm, or whatever else. I like to think of it as being attracted to the soul, and not to the body, but that's just me.

@person who said bisexuals just think people are hot and pans need romantic feelings first. Just because you are pan doesn't mean you need to feel romantic feelings towards someone before you can be sexually attracted to them. That's demisexuality.
The difference between bisexuality and pansexuality is that bisexual people are attracted to more than one gender. This may be women and people who identify as feminine or this may be men and women. It depends on the person.
Pansexual people are attracted to all genders, whether they fall on the gender binary or not. This opens it up to men, women, agender, transwomen, transmen, nonbinary, and everything in between.
This does not mean that bisexual people cannot be attracted to these genders as well, they just tend to have preferences.
Bi is meaning they have preferences. Pan means they are attracted to ALL genders.
Also, romantic feelings are different than sexual feelings. People can be panromantic but heterosexual and etc.

Bisexual is attraction to two of ANY genders, not just female and male, yet I understand that is original thought of Bisexuality.
Pansexuality is attraction to ALL genders. Yes more then two.
Please note for this tends, not always, to part of the definition of Pansexuality, if you like someone who is trans, that does not make you Pansexuality. You can like someone who is a trans woman or trans man and be heterosexuality or homosexuality. Please respect a person who transitions (if the individual does) as the gender they want to be acknowledged as.
Hope this helps. Good day. :D

No difference. Bisexual means you're attracted to members of both genders, pansexual means you're attracted to members of both genders.

i now the difference but persoanlly dont think there really is. bisexuals date both sexes. panesexuals date everyone as long as they like them that is. could be male, females, mtf,ftm etc.they say they are attracted tot he personality no everything else. again though, i personally dont see a different between the two. bisexuals tend to like the personality instead of the sexes...do you get my argument? like they are basically the same thing if they both date based on personality. the only reason theyd be different is if the bisexual person dating had a problem with transsexuals and transgendered or intersexed people. i for one dont. does that make pansexual? i personally dont think so. i see the person for who they are. male or female but would date them regardless if there was an attraction( i wouldnt care if they were ftm, mtf, intersexed or w.e.)

Every one of you saying Bi people are attracted to ONLY male and female are outright wrong.
Definition via Stonewall, a place run by LGBT people, not just a bunch of heterosexual people who think they know what the **** they're talking about: Bisexual (or bi) people are people who are attracted to more than one gender.
Here's another: 'a changeable sexual and emotional attraction to people, where gender may not be a defining factor'.
They're essentially the same in a lot of ways, as I understood it Pansexuality requires emotional attachment before being physically attracted to someone. Bisexuality was like "**** it they're hot".

A bisexual likes either a man 'cause he's a man or a woman 'cause she's a woman. A pansexual doesn't care at all. That automatically makes him open to sexual relationships involving trans, intersex, androgynous people etc. Sure, many bisexuals would date trans people but many straight people would date same-sex people as well. People sometimes are open enough to try relationships "out of their sexual orientation". Pansexuality is a sexual orientation or a point of view that cleares out the fact that he/she would be open to romantic/sexual relationships with people regardless of sex/gender. I believe this is the case.
