I am currently a separated father and it seems like every woman I meet is lazy and will never clean up after themselves. I do not consider myself the cleanest person in the world, but I do like things neat and tidy. Vacuum once a week, do the dishes once every one or two days. I have recently been away for a week and come home to find my female housemate has not lifted a finger towards cleaning the house. Granted we both have a child to look after, but if I can do it why can't she?

Who pays the bills? In my house, I don't lift a finger!!! Reason being is that I work 16hrs a day and my check is going towards the household expenses. No way am I cleaning up after someone who is unemployed (in my house). Surely, this sounds sexist, but if the shoe were on the other foot (and it was) I'd have that place so clean and neat that you wouldn't believe it.

I clean once a week, I work full time and no way am I cleaning every day after working long hours, my hubby and I share the housework, if something gets a bit messy then so what, life is about more than cleaning and stressing about cleaning.

ok after a week, is just lazy. Usually I'm on the other side of this. But for once, the male is right! My husband works days, and while he's at work, I clean the house, dishes, laundry, once a week i dust and disinfect and all that, but the house is always at least picked up. I have two babies, work evenings and weekends, and am a student, and actually get a decent amount of down time. I think your girl is definately being lazy. But instead of discouraging her, try to incourage her, when she does pick up, praise her for it so she knows it makes you happy. If she gives a rats *** she'll want to please you more and pick up more.

May be your woman is not feeling too well. Why dont you talk to her about it. May be she is having some problem that needs to be resolved. Offer your help and kindness and have a chat about it. May be everyone should share the work around the place, why is only the womans job to do all the chores, while the rest of the family just eat and sleep and watch tele. Get the kids to pitch in too in what ever small way they can, teach them young.

I don't think so. Personally, I was raised with a housekeeper, general neglect, and quite a bit of abuse from outside sources. It took me quite a few years to get over these issues and learn some basic skills. I don't think that all women are lazy by any means. But I do believe that we all (male and female) come with various hurts and hang ups that affect us in various ways. You will have to decide for yourself what you are willing to put up with, and for how long. I hope you find this helpful.

I live with 4 guys (in laws) tell me they are not pigs. I am a very clean person but I refuse to be their housemaid for free. Not all women are pigs as are not all men are pigs. I can't wait for the day to be rid of them!

because your a male and your so damn perfect and wonderful and fantastic so why not just find your own apartment and quit co-habiting with a slob and that way you wont live in a pig pen.

Back in reality I bet your not as clean as you claim either lmao.Stop expecting her to clean up after you and the children and do your bit.

I totally agree with you. It should be both of you cleaning up. It doesn't matter if she has a child or not! That makes for more reason to be a clean, tidy person! You have to address the issue to her!

Then for your next potential girlfriend, your standards should be that she's a "clean freak."
