The following are the main differences in the rules between ODI and Twenty/20 cricket.

1) Each side can bat mnaximum of 20 overs as against
50 overs in ODI.

2) Minimum of 5 overs to be bowled to constitute a
match in T20 as compared to 20 overs in ODI

3) The incoming batsman gets only 90 seconds to face
the next ball in T20 and as such players sits in the
dugouts near the boundary instead of pavillion.

4) No bowler can bowl more than 4 overs in T20 as against 10 overs in ODI.

5) In the first 6 overs only two fielders can be placed outside thje 30 yard circle and for the remaining 14 overs not more than 5 fielders can be outside the circle in T20 as against the 3 power plays of 20 overs in ODI.

6) In the event of a No ball batting side gets 2 runs and the batsman can get a free hit. Batsman cannot be given out except in run out in a free hit.

7) In the event of a tie, winner will be decided by bowl out.

The main difference between one-day and twenty 20 cricket is one-day matct is full day match and 20-20 match is only 3 hour match

The Main Difference between one day and 20 is
In one day Each team play 50 overs Whereas in twenty 20 it is 20overs for each team

There is no ball- out system in one dayers where as it exists ts in 20-20 and due to this result is must

the main difference is the overs .in a one day match there r 50 overs while in a 20-20 there r 20 overs.in a one day each bowler gets to bowl 10 overs while in a 20-20 only 4 overs

In one-day there are 50over but twenty 20 there are only 20over .That is the differences between one-day and twenty 20.

in a one day match, both two of the teams are allowed to bowl for 50 overs each respectively, but in twenty 20 match, each of the playing team is allowed to bowl only 20 overs each.

there are so many other differences between these two, but this above one is the basic and main difference, that's what i think....

one day is of 50 overs and 20 20 is of 20 overs the difference is in 20 20 we need to attend each and every ball and hit it so that we can score more

Twenty 20 is like 100mt sprint whereas one-day cricket is a mile race and a test match is a marathon

Total overs 50 in one day,here 20.
In 20-20,for each no ball,free hit is there & if match tied means winner'll choose by bowl-out
