For the past two months or so, I've been getting the runs 3 - 4 times a week....sometimes more than once a day. I'm not real health conscious, but I don't eat lot of fried or fatty foods and I think I'm drinking enough water. Can someone please help as I'm really getting a sore bottom.

Persistent diarrhea can be a sign of more serious problems. Go see a doctor as soon as you can.

You should see your doctor right away, as this can be symptomatic of other conditions. Your doctor will want to take samples of your stool and blood, and may even want to do further tests if nothing conclusive is found from the initial tests.

For a lark, try not eating gluten-free foods to see what effect that has. That means nothing with wheat, or anything with any added gluten (read labels). If you improve, this could be an indicator that you are presenting with Celiac's Disease, which is the body's inability to absorb gluten. There are, however, many conditions that can cause the symptoms you're seeing, so you really should see your doctor, as you can dehydrate quickly the way things are going.

Good luck . . .

This has been going on for two months? Go see a doctor! In the meantime, try eating rice and yogurt: the yogurt has healthy bacteria that might help, and the rice will bind you up (constipation). But really, I'd see a doctor.

You need to seek medical advice as there are multiple issues that cause this. Until then, short term, try 1/2 tab of immodium every second day, to every day if needed. But See your Doc. K? Cheers

This is a problem for your doc to know about. One of the problems with diarrhea (besides the obvious) is the loss of water, which can lead to dehydration, which leads to changes in your electrolytes (calcium, potassium, sodium, etc.). So it is in your best interest to resolve this problem asap.
