I have house cleaners that come round and clean my house weekly. They are not a company but just two ladies that offer cleaning services for cash in hand. I had some special expensive floor in my bathroom shiped and made from Sweden and it's hard to get. Yesterday i noticed some massive Like scrathes and gadges have been put in the floor by there hoover. What should i do ? should i just get them to come and have a look at it and see what they want to do first ?

It seems strange that a hoover would cause gouges and scratches in a bathroom floor. Was the floor laid properly by a registered contractor? Is there a fault in the flooring? Massive scratches and gouges seem extreme from just cleaning. Is there someone else, something else that could have caused the damage. Bathroom floors should be pretty hardy. I doubt that you would have success taking legal action as you are stepping outside the law by employing them for cash in hand.
Certainly ask them about it, but make sure you have some sort of proof that they did it. It sounds a very strange thing for a Hoover to do to a bathroom floor.

Get a new licensed cleaning company, sure it may cost you a few extra dollars, but then you at least have some sort of recourse when this happens.
Check and see if there is a warranty on the flooring. Call the manufacturer and see what they reccomend to do to repair it.
You will probably just have to eat the cost of the repair. Make sure to inform your new cleaning ladies of any special care instructions of your surfaces/belonging in the future.

The law does not aid those who step outside the law. In this case you have by paying cash in hand to these ladies who, although not a company, would be considered employed by you to do cash in hand (and evade tax) as it is a weekly thing and no just a one-off.
I doubt you would have legal success having employed them as cash in hand. However no doubt there will be someone willing to take it on (should you choose to sue) and there could be ways around it as things such as their experience and knowledge about cleaning (and that care needs to be taken for certain things such as your floor) would definitely be relevant.
If they are not a company then they probably don't have insurance for this. I suggest you should talk to them, show them the damage, explain how much it is going to cost, and work out together with them what you are going to do about it.
Best of luck.

Did you tell your cleaners that you had "really expensive flooring laid in your bathroom" ? If you didn't,how were they supposed to know, it was delicate? I would show them the floor and see what or if they can do anything.. In the future maybe it's a good idea to show them or ask them how they plan on cleaning your *new flooring instead of just "trusting them" I'm sure they didn't mean to damage anything. I wouldn't be so quick to "sue", I'd chalk it up to bad judgement on both your parts...

You can legally pay them cash..as long as you send them a 1099 tax form at the end of the year...They are independent contractors l;icensed or not....Show it to them and see what they say..Now however it may be difficult in court to prove they actually caused the damage..and there should be no way a hoover did the damage..unless the knocked it over on it's side or something...

I suggest that you called them and see for themselves. Let them suggest on what to do with it. It has a remedy for that. If they don't, have the solution, consult an expert in tile cleaning. Be human enough to forgive their lapses, I know it is not intentional. They cannot afford to ruin their reputation.

Have them come over and show them the damage and see if you & them can come up with a reasonable solution; they should have insurance for damage. If not, you can take it to the next level.

call in the cleaners, tell them you will not pay them as they have caused thousands in damage to your floor.
THEN.... claim from your house insurance for accidental damage and then get the repairs done.
