I've always respected the Angels.

The press doesn't tho. They like that NY Yankee / Boston Red Sox thing.

When they play in the World Series they'll get plenty of respect.

You are right! The Angels get no respect because of 2 factors 1st they are a west coast team and 2nd the are still only the number 2 team in LA behind the Dodgers. But this is no big deal because a World Series win is still a World Series win and nothing can take that away from them! Go Angels! By the way I have been an Angels fan since the days of Nolan Ryan and I have never lived out west! LOL east coast fan baby! And for that Yankees fan, what is Torres record against the Angels again? LOL The Angels own the Yankees and have for years!

Not enough press coverage, if the Dodgers were rolling then the press would be all over it but when the Angels do it they are not on it so much...the four letter network does not give coverage to too many teams west of the Mississippii! It is all about viewership and ESPN figures that it will get more on the East Coast tuning in than on the West Coast.

Plus everyone like to here the CA do their best Rodney Dangerfield!

True, ESPN doesn't care for west coast teams. Very annoying to watch Jon Miller & Joe Morgan dis the Dodgers & Angels when they do the game of the week. Then they act surprised when they win. I don't worry about it, though. They have the respect of the other teams. They know LA is the team to beat. The road to the world series goes down the 57 freeway.

Could it be that it has something to due with baseballs best record while racking up alot of those wins in a weak division? Texas, Seattle, Oakland are all soft. Just like every other team in MLB-the LAA have not show or proven they are the best in MLB. They sure have not proved that to the Indians either. And to the top poster...what makes you think Boston or NYY will get by Cleveland to play LAA? Is it due to Cleveland's "weak" pitching???? Or maybe having the best 1-2 starting COMBO in MLB doesn't give them the credit they deserve. Personally I think LAA is tough and they have alot of tough outs in that lineup. I see them beating NYY or Boston based on their pitching. I just don't see them beating Cleveland, based on Cleveland's pitching. Not to take anything away from your staff...7 game ALCS -Indians get the nod. But who cares about credit? Know what you know. If you are right, the rest of MLB will find out soon enough.

what are you talking about all the sports people are talking about is Boston and New York, the Indians and it's spelled Cleveland by the way.

I understand you're frustration but you're not the only team being left out, every team that isn't Boston or New York isn't getting much attention.

I don't care much I just want my team to keep winning and I will be happy.

Because their fans don't know how to use proper grammar?

And because they play on the west coast and their games end at 1:30 AM over here in the east (time zone)

They're my pick to win the ALCS though

What would you rather have, respect from the media and fans or a world championship? Whether or not they ever get any respect is out of their control but winning it all is within their control and they are good enough to do just that.
