when you wash them, make sure they are fastened.
don't put them in the dryer. the dryer messes up the elastic, padding, wires, straps, all of it. instead of drying them in the dryer, lay them flat on top of your dryer. the heat dries them faster than just air dry alone.

All of these are great suggestions. Also buy good quality bras. I will admit to being abusive to my bras as far as washing. I through them in on a regular cycle with other clothes, unfastened and outside of the bag. They have occasionally even found their way into the dryer. I usually air dry them.
I only get bras from Victoria's Secret now because they with stand the abuse. I look at a $40-$50 bra as an investment, as it will last 4 years, still fit and look like new. A $15-$20 bra will only last a few months under the same abuse.

I agree with those who said to put them in a lingere bag. I disagree with those who say hand wash. I used to hand wash them as I had been told and then I accidently machine washed one and saw the difference between it and the ones I was hand washing. Hand washing just does not get out the body soil. I was thinking they were clean but I was wearing nasty bras. Go with the lingere bags. I'd rather have to buy a new bra a little sooner than wearing crusty bras.

You can wash them in a lingerie bag to help keep them from getting beat around in the washer, then just put them on a hanger to dry overnight, it is much more gentle on the lycra/elastic than the heat of the dryer.

I just leave mine out to air dry now. I was getting tired of the clasps getting stuck in everything
When I wash them I just make sure that nothing in the washer will hook onto them. I close the clasps as well as this does help. I like the pillow case idea, never thought of that one... thanks

Have all hooks together prior to washing.
Wash them in a closed pillow case or lingerie bag.
Heat from dryer harmful to elastic & 'wires' (low heat or hang).
Bleach harsh on all elastics.
