...who really think you'll be scared if they threaten to come and beat you up/kill you/turn you in to the cops because you've somehow upset them on Y!A or a message board or chat room or something?
I mean even if I were to say, "I know this guy who killed ten people," or "I'm going to join the Mafia and become a hitman," or something outrageous like that, there is such a small chance that anyone could use that against me that it's basically nonexistent!
Does anyone out there really worry if someone here claims that they're going to find them or turn them in?

I'm a nice person on here too but unfortunately I've got at least two stalkers on Yahoo who think I believe them when they say they know who I am and where I live... I don't.

I don't understand it either. Or how about people who are afraid to show their face because they might get stalkers or ID thieves? I've got my name and my face up in this mutha, and have never had a problem.

It's nothing to worry about. They're just empty threats.
It is illegal to threaten someone's life. But unless it's a politician, it's unlikely that anyone will investigate. there is also something in the law about having a reasonable capability of carrying out your threat.

If you don't give out enough info for someone to track you down then you have no cause to worry!
I have had a few altercations on other sites (dating sites) and while it gave me a twinge of unease I never really believed that they could do me harm!

Alot of us actually come on to get real answers and ask real questions and will not get offended by anything, then there are those people who get offended and scared by things...for all we know you can be in mexico......f'em......no need to worry over someone who does not have the power to anything....UNLESS you chat to a minor to have sex.....you can get arrested...they can track u down....(HOW @ CATCH A PREDITOR)...

NAHHHH...ignore it!! You know that this site is full of nice people...however, there are some bad apples that we shouldn't pay attention to. You are a nice man and treat everybody with respect and dignity, no need to worry about this people.
