Because- today's knights expect you to have your own horse, save your self and them too.

Top of the morning Lassie, I'm sorry but the King has all the knights out chasing dragons, cups of gold, so forth and so on. Anyway, I was in the area and heard your cry. Now I am not a knight mind you and to be quite honest, I couldn't tell you the front end or the rear end of a horse or mule; but hey, that horse thing is so over rated. I mean come on, who wants to ride off in the sunset on a white horse as flies buss your head. Nope, you sound more like the type that will be rescued by ship. I bet a strong young Captain hears your call as I speak on the westward winds.
Hold fast and true and for God sake woman, put a smile on your face, there is nothing worse then to pull into port and having a beautiful woman standing on the docks with a frown.

Because, like the Easter Bunny, Santa Clause and the Tooth Fairy, a knight in shining armor (at least in the dating world) is a myth - usually an alcohol-induced mirage, a legendary tale of two lovers intertwined in passion and proverbal "I've never felt anything like this before, I know I've said that before, but this time it's different."

On the lighter side of this age-old fable, there is grain of truth - well maybe two. First, perhaps you might find a guy riding a white horse, but probably not on a date.

So here's to smoky bars, stuffy clubs, bad pick up lines and the occasional free drink. My advice, just have fun! Stop trying to date, and just let life come your way.

Of course this is the advice of a single guy, who just ended back-to-back-to-back long-term relationships that obviously all failed, so maybe I'm not the best advisor here.

Best of luck to you.

If he shows up, could you send his older brother my way?? I would be happy with a knight in a ratty sweater on a moped!

On a serious note, you will find what you are looking for where you least expect it. Do not make finding a man your obsession, but use that energy to make you a better and more well rounded person.
Dating is a challenge! An opportunity to learn about another human being. A hopeful enterprise. (Always make sure you drive your own car to meet them or have cab fare handy!)

Don't give up hope and have as much fun as possible on your dates!

We are real, but we are pretty rare. I tell you that one thing we all live for is the chance to come to the aid of a damsel in distress. Look for us at Renaissance Faires, SCA events, Amtgard battlegames and anywhere else men of courage, valor, and chivalry gather. I don't have a white horse but I do drive a gold minivan, and it is not unusual for me to leave my armor on (yes, that's me in the avatar, and there are more pics on the 360) after a long sparring session for the drive home, or even to walk into a store to pick up bread and milk thusly attired.

Perhaps he did come to save you from your loneliness, and you did not give him the time of day, because you did not recognize him.

let's face facts, people who are worth while are ignored.

The day I get my June Cleaver, is the day a wonderful woman get's her Knight in shining armor.

Shining armor is hard to come by, very few men are knighted now-a-days, and at least one of the few men to be knighted is gay.

Revelation 19:11 "And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war."

Would you settle for a country boy in jeans, driving a new white 4x4?
