Maybe if he played for TB and got regular playing time, he might make 700. Don't see him playing long enough to catch Barroid.

No way...he will only play maybe 2 or 3 seasons. Even if he plays full time I can't imagine him hitting more than 35 hr in a season. He will fall well short under optimum conditions. If his health holds and he manages to play full time he may start to approach 700, in which case he may play part time to reach that land mark. but after that he won't be able to play anymore to reach the other 55 hr.

Sammy is at least 38--there has always been a bit of suspicion about his age.
He has 20 home runs this year with virtually nothing else--his OBP is way down, he really can't play the field any more, scouts say he has a huge hole in his swing, and he looks like he is getting old in a hurry.
I doubt if he has one more season in him, let alone the many it would take him at current expectations.
Of course, all bets are off if he finds a new and improved performance-enhancing drug that really does the job for him.

first of all, SAMMY SOSA is an idiot. He retires then comes back. If he keeps doing that he might get 700 but now way 7(whatever bonds has) A-ROD will definitley get to 700 he will probably break bonds record.

i for my section do no longer choose Bonds to interrupt Aaron's checklist. no longer in basic terms is he a cheater, yet he's an a#@hollow. no one likes him, gamers, coaches, followers...You hear negatives approximately him from all of us. Dusty Baker and Jeff Kent have been with him for years and neither of them choose something to do with him. while he performed for the Pirates, maximum of them did no longer like him the two. examine activity of Shadows. whether, he will probly get his purpose beforehand Sosa, except Sammy experienced challenging and is making some severe touch the place Texas will placed him on the roster.

No. He's already 39 years old. At that age, I don't think he could last long enough to hit 700, let along 760 (or whatever Bonds is at).

He has no chance of catching Bonds. He is too old and not in good enough shape. He cannot play everyday even as a DH. He will not play another 4 - 5 years....I guarantee it.

Sammy is getting old, he might be good for 2 more years. So I see him maybe getting 650-660 tops.

Nope.
He has to be in his late 30's early 40's. What makes you think he can get to 760 or so?

No he won't, he'll be lucky to get to 700. He was a 'roid user just like Bonds but Bonds was by far the best of all the 'roid users.
