If I had to give a hair cut it would just be a little trim. I love long hair on men.

i would tell him to pick out a guy that he would most like to favor or likes his style the best or likes a quality that he most wants to replicate. then go from there. Gentlemen Quarterly has nice ideas of styles and haircuts. Go pick up a copy maybe the latest issue, they have a nice variety and nice styles for long as well as short. LQQK into it. It is worth it.

Trim the split ends and give it a good deep conditioning to keep it silky and shiny. It is his choice to have long hair, and his gift to others to keep it well maintained.

long haired guys are hot, so i personally wudnt cut it at all.
just leave it out and wild. or in a loose ponytail
