"Fair chance at a good life"... LOL... Yeah, right. I'm sure I'm going to get a few thumbs down for this, but the legal system doesn't give a flying flip about men when there's a woman out there with his kid(s). I know a few guys that have gotten so hosed it's not even funny, one I guy I work with gives (not willingly, court order) literally 80% of his paycheck to his ex-wife. His girlfriend has to support him. God, I love our legal system. Equal rights my butt.

You must have money-management issues and be seriously delinquent to have been put in jail. Jail is the last resort of the court... worst-case scenario "dead-beat dads". Your struggles are no ones fault but your own.
Child support is based on income, so even if you have 25 kids, your child support will never exceed 51% of your weekly earnings. If your income has lowered significantly and your barely surviving on Ramen, it is YOUR responsibility to report that to the COURT, not to YAHOO!

Chances are your just a guy that likes to gripe about the babies you couldn't afford to make in the first place.

You should have thought about all of that before you started making those children. People jump into relationships and having children without first thinking things through. Lust is not love, and love is not enough to make a relationship work. Why should the children suffer for your mistakes. They deserve everything that they would have enjoyed had you stayed together as a family. Get two jobs if you need to. I worked 3 to raise mine.
