no its not.. there are really people who are secretive and feel uncomfortable sharing their emotions or problems.. statistics say that this tendency mostly occur in men because of gender schema (e.g. masculine tendencies). on the other hand, women tend to reveal and are more comfortable in sharing deep emotions because that is one of the feminine tendencies as dictated by the society. however, what statistics and studies reveal are true only for majority but not for individuals.. this trait can still be influenced by one's personality like being introvert or secretive..

It is not abnormal but it is very unhealthy. While it can effect ones physical well being (promote ulcers, anxiety & stress related symptoms, etc) it is most detrimental to ones emotional well-being. Those who have a tendency to NOT share deep emotions with at least one other person are apt to harbor resentments, have anger management problems, and repeated difficulties in establishing and/or maintaining relationships. And how happy or satisfied can a bitter, hostile, lonely/avoided person be?

I don't think it's terribly abnormal. Some people aren't in touch with their deep emotions enough to share them. Others do not trust other people with their feelings, perhaps because they've been hurt in the past.

While I don't think it's abnormal, I do think it is unhealthy to either be that out of touch with/oblivious of your feelings or to not trust anyone else enough to share them. Feelings can get out of hand if we don't acknowledge them and everyone needs friends or family that they can share their feelings with (it isn't always possible to find such a friend but I think it is important for one's psychological well-being).

All people show their affections and emotions differently. Sometimes other people show you these feelings in other ways than you are used to. Look at all the good positive ways that they do express themselves to you. Maybe this is their way of sharing.

No it depends on the person and that certain emotion.....and the environment....One of these days that person will need another person to cry upon becasue bottling it up inside is bad.....That person needs to find someone he or she can share her thoughts and emotions with.
