Foundation of the US is pretty lengthy and complicated. A lot of americans dont even realize that the Constitution wasnt even our first attempt at a system of gvt.
Freedom from the British, fair taxation, representation in gvt, religious freedom, slavery, manifestation destiny, self reliance, the transcontinental railroad, trade, gold, wars with spain, canada, mexico.
It all sort of adds in.

The fact that it is actually run to satisfy corporate greed and our representatives no longer work for the people, but rather their corporate masters. This is now the bedrock truth of our so called system of government.
