Give sarcastic answers to simple questions? Feeling like a genius, perhaps.

it looks like some people did that with this question too.... maybe they dont KNOW WHAT QUESTION or ANSWER means.... ANSWER!!! NOT GIVE meaningless comments or leave sarcastic remarks.. , I guess they think this is yahoo opinions.

Giving a sarcastic answer takes as long as a serious answer so it wouldnt really be a waste of time. If its a simple question then the answer is often just as simple so how come ppl ask such simple questions? BECAUSE WE ALL DO WHAT WE CAN TO PASS TIME!

Simple questions need not be asked because probably you know the answer. Asking sometimes only because the asker is making test to the ability of whoever will answer.
Its not feeling like a genius but the question might be annoying sometimes. Be patient and considerate to it.

Well the fact of the matter is what you find sarcastic could very well be a genius answer to someone else. Okay just joking. People like to see themselves type (kind of like people like to hear themselves talk)

honestly, at that moment it seems so funny. There was this one question, a guy was purtorican, and he was typing in slang, I wanted to say, hey poppa me like how u type eh. But I didn't do that because it was mean.. but still made me giggle.

It usually occurs when a question is meant to bash or belittle a group or thought. It happens a lot when the questioner is trying to act smart, but they have bad vocabulary skills....you know, when the irony is too much to pass on.

But ppl do it cause its easy to a sarcastic *** over the Internet where no one knows who you are,and lets face it sometimes being a sarcastic *** is fun.

Why do some pretentious people assume that on an open forum they can pick and choose the nature of the answers they will get?
I'm more annoyed by smug, presumptive questioners than I am by witty, sarcastic answers.

a lot of the time if people will put their question into google or similar search engine they'll get their answer. otherwise, some people ask pretty stupid questions and get equally stupid answers. also, people enjoy putting others down and/or feeling superior.
