Why is it that when you accidently bump into a white lady she will say, "oh it's okay," but when you bump into a sister shes ready to pull her earrings off, step out of her shoes and tell you what to go do with your mother?

Teachclip~~ Actually most of my patients with anger management issues tend to be black women.

Sexychocolate~~~ I've conducted experiments that prove my point is correct. FYI, when administrating an experiment, the experimenter can not be biased, so no, I had the same genuine apologitic face when bumping into both.

Wow Jessica G! We seem to notice the same things about people. Everytime I bump into a SISTA I always get lip. Geez do they need medication or cognitive therapy and anger management?

haha although i have to agree with most of these answers that thats not always the way, there are many sisters that will too quickly apologize.
i do have to say from the other end of the bumping into -- when a black woman bumps into ME i get this look like shes gonna take my white a$s back to my momma and beat the hell outta both of us if i ever walk in HER way again.
now of course ive gotten this reaction from all walks of life, not just black people, that is who usually (95% of the time) does this. why??? ugh!

Maybe it's the black women you are bumping into. Did you say excuse me afterward. Generally if you apologize to sister for bumping into her she will always tell you "No it's okay, your good!", that has been my experience. I have not experienced what you are talking about w/ black women since high school. Adults don't behave that way. Maybe you have a look on your face when you bump into said black woman that makes her think you meant to do that and when you bump into the white woman you look/seem apologetic.

Jessica you ask questions that are insightful. Sounds like you are prejudice and have a beef with everyone or anyone that does not agree with you. Learn to love people and see the best in them even when you are not feeling your best.
This kind of stuff have a way of eating at you and causing you to be embittered against the world. Get that chip off your shoulder and live life joyously. Get out and have fun. This is the only life you will have on earth, so live it to the fullest. (smile)

Some folks are just more combative than others.
BUT... While your information supplied with your question may be somewhat true it is far (in fact miles) from being universally true. I know white women who won't even take time to remove their earrings or shoes before kicking your keester into next week and "sisters" who will not only say that it's no big thing but will apologize to you for not paying more attention to where they were going.
In other words it's not a color thing but a PEOPLE thing.

This a stereotype.
It is illogical and can easily be proved a false statement mathematically.
All I have to do is bump into a white lady and have her say anything other than "oh it's okay," or bump into a "sister" by which I will make the assumption that you mean African-American female and have her do anything other than "pull her earrings off, step out of her shoes and tell you what to go do with your mother?"
Which I have already done.

ROFL!!! You a damn lie, girl! ROFL!!!
I have bumped into sisters and never did I get all the negative reaction. Plus you cannot post crap like this publicly because the bigots come out of the damn woodwork to post their hate and dissention for Black people anyway.
If we were in a room together or having a drink with friends it would be one thing and we could all crack up and know that it was a "term of endearment" type situation, but a BIGOT??? C'mon, they don't need to see sister vs. sister action like this because they smile and troll with their evil racism.
Between you and me I'm cracking up though!
Trust..

People bump into me all the time, and I say "oh it's okay" and sometimes I say "excuse me". And I'm black. Why is it, that you have nothing else to do, but get online and make up scenarios, that are only showing others how ignorant you are?
