The struggle is the joy. Healthy living and attitude makes one beautiful. Laughing at smokers and those unwilling to be accountable for their own health working towards type 2 diabetes and circulatory 8 dbl cheeseburgers at a time cause they are "dollar menuaires". Striving not to bury my loved ones under the debt of my death and medical bills gives me focus.

Would anybody purposely be unattractive if they had the choice? Would you be less happy if you lost your athleticism? Less happy if you lost your intellect? Less happy to lose someone you loved?

Wait a minute... What would the world be like if everyone was very attractive..? And you couldn't compare looks..?

My wife says I'm good looking, but I'm sure that after more than 30 years together she'll keep loving me even if I loose my looks. So I'm not worried.

If I were to become just average, then I wouldn't care. I always thought of myself as being just average looking, although I've always been told I'm rather good looking by most everyone.

I wouldn't want to be disfigured is all.

Yes. When people find you pretty they're nicer, more polite, they want to make things easier for you. It feels good to get attention like that. Of course you'd miss it.

As a formerly good looking person who is now almost 61, losing your looks is an inevitability we all face. Sorry pal.

If I had true love I wouldn't because that person would love me no matter what. Beauty fades.
