Yes I have, and I think it's because I tend to speak confidently and have no problem being direct and calling someone on the carpet if need be. I'm not a B*tch, by any means, but sometimes people mistake leadership and confidence for being intimidating or mean.

1. When I was a Graduate Student Instructor, college undergrads would fear me for the first few weeks, then love me for the rest of the semester.
2. Work colleagues that are unfortunate enough to be put on a project with me.
3. Friends who spend saturdays watching football with me.

Yes, but anyone who said that was influenced by having been told I was a rotten person beforehand. I think total strangers who see me think I'm no more intimidating than your average skinny white dude.

Yes, I've been told several times. I guess 'cause I am rather intimidating: I am a strong-minded woman and don't any crap from anyone.

Yes more than once.
I think its because:
1. I'm a Leo female (we can be kinda dominate)
2. I'm not a girly girl..i'm a one of the guys with a touch of feminitity kinda girl ;-)
3. I have an opinion about almost everything, and i'm usually passionate about it and don't hold my tongue for anyone.
4. I'm tall (6'2 to be exact)

Yes. I've had people tell me that friends of theirs who I'd never even met thought I wanted to beat them up. I think it's because I always have a poker face, but behind the poker face is this guy:

All the time, and I can't figure it out. I'm 5'8'' and weigh
150 lbs. I think it might have something to do with the way one carries themself. Attitude / confidence, I don't try to be this way, I guess that's just the way it is.

Funny this question should come up cause we were just talking about this this evening & yes I have been told that.
Maybe because of my upfront,forward,& open personality,I really don't know for sure & they're not giving up their reason for saying it!

I don't think I have been...I've been told that I needed to speak up more!
It's probably because...well...I tend to be shy around people - well, at least those I don't know very well.
